EGGS! is a Chicago pop-rock three piece with a knack for songwriting so utterly profound that their minimalism is rendered avant garde, and their sense of humor down right soulful. They kind of sound like a band formed by that singer-guy from There's Something About Mary and Jeff Mangum from Neutral Milk Hotel, but in the 1950s. In reality, they are Jeff Galfond (vocals, guitar) backed by the virtuosic rock n' roll rhythm section of Jeffrey Michael Austin (drums) and Jimmy DiLorenzo (bass). Galfond's voice is singularly unique in its tone, as it stretches from a deep bass across eons to an impassioned fervor. Their latest album, "In Four Parts," is a collection of 21 of the catchiest and most original songs you've heard in a long time. Eggs! will stay with you, and it's a great thing.
